About the Recipe

We can create so many items from this delicious choux paste( Pate a choux) once you tried few times it will works better and better. It will be crispy outside and soft in inside. Choux buns will be even better if you could put a disk of craquelin dough before baking to make them a little crispier on top

Ingredients

  • 225 g Butter

  • 150 g Water

  • 150 g Milk

  • 15 g Sugar

  • 4 g Salt

  • 225 g AP flour

  • 375 g Eggs


Preparation

Step 1


In a medium size pot combine butter, water, milk, sugar and salt. Bring to a boil


Step 2


Lower the flame a little and add flour while stirring well. keep stirring for about 2 to 3 minutes


Step 3


Transfer the paste into a mixing bowl with paddle attachment. Mix it a little to cool down and start adding eggs a few eggs at a time


Step 4


Pipe into desired size of balls and bake at 350 F for about 20- 30 minutes. Do not open the oven for the first 15 minutes it will effect the rising of the rolls.


Step 5.


Fill with any type of cream or you can cut them in halves and fill ice cream in and enjoy.
